Poetry is an expression of unfiltered emotions. Zero attempts to capture the multiple yet most simplistic human emotions that vocabulary simply cannot describe in its entirety. Raw human emotions such as love, hate, life, suffering, beauty, pain are feelings that we all experience. All these emotions have different conations to us all, which makes life so beautiful. In Japanese, “Bushido” means “there is life in every breath.” This proverb has intrigued me on many a levels at various phases of my life. Breath signifying life entails us all to experience multiple conflicting emotions, which makes life so very enigmatic but nothing short of a blessing itself. Living life makes us experience emotions, something nothing other than a blessing. The title Zero is so quantifiable and simultaneously yet so unquantifiable, somewhat the same in nature to human emotions. Zero signifies nothingness and yet everything. It's all about perception! My poetry in Zero attempts to capture some expressions of my unfiltered emotions that I have experienced at different phases of my life.
