Applied Discrete Structures has been approved by the American Institute of Mathematics as part of their Open Textbook Initiative. This version (3.10 - 2023) was created using PreTeXt (https://pretextbook.org) Al Doerr was Professor of Mathematical Sciences at UMass Lowell. He passed away in 2018 after a fifty year career at UMass Lowell. Ken Levasseur is a Professor of Mathematical Sciences at UMass Lowell. His interests include discrete mathematics and abstract algebra, and their implementation using computer algebra systems.
