They had a lot of fun; they were adventurous and loved excitement, but they didn't always make wise decisions. It was August 1989 when everything started to fall apart for him. McKenna was at a house party where the host decided she wanted to have a séance. He wasn't quite comfortable with it, but he was there making jokes and almost mocking it. It might have been that encounter, or his heavy drinking at the time, or sleepless nightlife fun, but whatever it was, things abruptly came to a halt for him. In Amrstrong Road, he offers an account of some of the real-life events and experiences that took place in his life, a time when he felt the presence of Almighty God. In this memoir, McKenna tells how God showed himself in unique and powerful ways during the mostly lonely and dark journey. He seeks to offer encouragement to others, communicating that God is faithful even through the darkest times.
