Being raised in high society, the last thing Kiteura ever planned on being was an assassin, but it seemed that was now the choice before her. Or it was her life. She just couldn’t imagine herself laying in a puddle of blood somewhere.
Kiteura Maclee grew up being expected to follow all the rules and do everything just so according to her mother and father's wishes. Only to realize that she and her sister were being used as their pawns to gain a higher position in society. Kiteura no longer wanted to be the puppet her mother wanted.
Being kidnapped along with her best friend by a couple of assassins wasn't how she wanted to escape that life either.
Now, Kiteura and Sayra must figure out how to keep their lives intact while in the beginnings of assassin training with a trainer who would rather take chunks out of their hides then properly teach them how to survive as soon-to-be assassins.
Sayra seems to get off easy as the trainer is constantly losing his cool and hating the humiliation he is getting from Kiteura finding ways to survive his brutal attacks and acts of rage against her.
With so many attempts on her life and hide, Kiteura finds a friend in the medic doing all the repairs to the trainees and herself especially. That friend has a secret of his own. Raekel is elf kind and not just any elf. He's the prince of a special type of elf kind known as the Meca Vin. His training far exceeds what anybody else knows and will be the saving grace for their lives.
