Everett is a bold little boy with autism, a curious mind, and impatient fingers. These heartfelt tales highlight each person's individuality and cleverness and remind us that it is to be celebrated and respected.Meet Everett! A boy with autism who embarks on the great adventure known as growing up. First, challenging one of the most magnificent board game players ever known - his sister (ya know, the one with the rad rhyming skills) and her cunning ideas to outsmart the rule book.Next up? Everett chases a red balloon around the living room until he runs into some big feelings about sharing and other people's ideas.Last, we find Everett as he finds himself at a farm school, meeting new people and asking the question, "What fun are chickens?". But, don't worry, he discovers how fun they are and what farm school is really all about (it's not the chickens, although they were hilarious). So, take a walk into a world filled with love, humor, and exploration of the gifts that we bring one another.About the AuthorIn her debut children's book, bestselling author Jenny Dombroski writes tales from her heart and for her family. After her son was diagnosed with autism, she scoured bookshelves looking for stories with realistic representation and main characters on the spectrum. It was important to her to showcase the beauty of her son just as he was created to be. She wanted a book to share with her daughter that gave her examples of how her brother fit into the world by being himself and incorporate a variety of scenarios where we can learn from each other.Jenny lives and loves in Texas with her husband of 14 years and her children, is guilty of making her mom's chocolate cake recipe on random Thursdays, loves God, and has been known to stop watching where she was walking while observing wildlife through binoculars. Although this is her first children's book, she has participated in two Amazon best-selling anthologies, Transitions and From One Mother to Another. She also has written for several online publications, including Love What Matters. She has wanted to be a writer (well, and a marine biologist) since she was little and first discovered the power of a good book.
