Dr. Jonah Fine, a psychologist with community mental health in San Francisco, returns to Westside High School, where he was a student twenty years ago. Shortly after he arrives, Jonah meets Nadia Kirov, an attractive Ukrainian exchange student who discloses that she is being sexually harassed by one of her teachers and asks for his help. Jonah reports her allegations to the school administration, but before the investigation begins, Nadia suddenly disappears.
