Review The poems in Steven B. Harvey’s new book Bringing Down The Sky are spare and striking. Truth and tender moments are interlaced in these brilliant poems where “March blows grey and gold / Undecided about spring / Snow falls to flowers.” This is a beautiful collection. Leah Maines, Poet-in-Residence Emerita, Northern Kentucky University About the Author Steven Harvey is a poet and sculptor living and working in Chicago. After leaving university with a degree in Philosophy and Fine Arts, Steven worked as a tool and die maker, a director of marketing for a consumer products manufacturing firm, an independent marketing consultant and as an account executive and market analyst for some of the leading equities and futures firms. He has been creating poetry and exhibiting sculpture since the late 60's. His sculpture has received cash awards and grant funding and has been represented by some of Chicago's top galleries. His work is in private and corporate collections. Steven has been working in long form poetry as well as the shorter forms represented here. He is currently completing a collection of these long form works.
