Within days the holiday feeling has deserted her. The village is not as friendly as she thought it would be and she feels her being at Rosemary Cottage is resented. A couple of new friends seem to have an ulterior motive in getting to know her and she begins to think she should never have come. Money is tight, finding a job impossible, and her young horse is proving difficult. Tip feels she is losing her confidence.
