Reason behind demonetization was effective counter measure against black money and using it for illegal activities. But inadequate supply of new currency was affected day to day transactions of common man, especially people of rural India, banks, ATM and small business suffered temporary financial loses. If destruction of old currency and printing of new currency costs are higher than benefits, then demonetization will not defend decision makers and executors, such decision will impact badly on country economy as well as GDP, also it will tarnish popular ruling governments image.
