Brown was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.A. He attended Arizona State University and spent his summers working on a ranch near the Mexican border. Prior to choosing writing as an avocation, he was a professional appraiser, and received the MAI and SRA awards. He has three other published novels, Death Corporate Style, The Blond Eye and Death Rides the Rails. Mr. Brown is an affiliate member of Mystery Writers of America, and has published several short stories in Southwest magazines, along with technical articles for trade journals. He enjoys reading, hunting, deep-sea fishing, and golf, and resides in Fallbrook, California with his wife, Terrie.
