Given the circumstances, secrecy is imperative. Robison soon learns Carlos, the son, intends to "silence" her when Juan recovers. Robison manages to escape but issoon recaptured and returned to the Alvarez estate by security guards. Again she escapes, but can't find her husband or friends. Who can she turn to in this controlled environment? She must find an outsider . . . perhaps an American!
