In the volatile world of Vietnam in the 1960's, fortunes are made in supplying military cargo-and stealing it. The U.S. military hires a young executive freight specialist, Michael Hale, to discover who is robbing the government of millions in cargo. But since the last three inspectors ended up disappearing, Hale isn't sure he wants to take on the job, even though it's supposed to be an "easy duty".
