He then found out his father and uncle took part in the D-Day landings in June 1944. He wanted to walk on those beaches. What better time than in 2014, on 70th Anniversary of D-Day? Emma, David's wife, was an avowed pacifist. She hated war and the glory and suffering it brought. However, a week in beautiful Normandy would give her a break from struggles at work and in her marriage. While there David and Emma were rocked by a number of bizarre happenings which were to change their lives for ever. By the end of the story there are so many unanswered questions that demand a sequel.
