The Eighth Army Engineer intelligence bulletin is a compilation of developments in engineer material, methods, and equipment, both friendly and enemy, gathered from operational areas in this theater (WWII). Its sole purpose is to provide engineer personnel with intelligence data for their future use and application. Bulletin 1 contents from April 1945 include information on: Japanese progress in defensive warfare; a Japanese road block; methods of mining a road; Castellegos airstrip mined by the Japanese; new Japanese single-horn beach mine; Japanese bridge demolitions; Japanese water supply equipment; temporary LST jetty; replacement of bridge with minimum interruption of traffic; placement of intermediate timber bents to reinforce small bridges; mud shoes; engineer photographs; and the schistosome- new engineer enemy.
