Woman of Morning August 2001 (from "A Trilogy") The morning breaks dispelling the darkness As she awakens from her peaceful dreamscape Casting off the disheveled bedding, she Straightens her crumpled nightshirt, her eyes Still expressing a somnolent gaze, while her Delicate hands brushes her hair wildly arranged From her slumber, the streams of light Piercing through the laced curtains reveal A lovely face owning a mesmeric appeal and Natural beauty yet uncommon in measure The captivating effects strengthens as her eyes Brightens with each waken moment, inspiring a Lethargic mind towards a heightened composure The lady follows her daily protocols of dress And makeup, no improvement is achieved But an august enhancement to an already Divinely given charm, yet one could not but Notice the distraction elicited by the maquillage Concealing the countenance beheld in the Early hours of day ...
