Keeping the prose and the response together creates something unique and personal. Sometimes in life there is an event that changes everything about you: who you are, what you want, your commitments and even how you look at life. And sometimes this event is meeting someone. This is what happened to me when I met my daughter Nikki and is the reason for this book, a Response Diary containing a short selection from a series of writing that has kept my feelings and thoughts out in the world and available to be heard. Some express feeling, some invoke thought and others a declaration, but all help me to be with someone I hope I will never be without. So, they are here in this book to never be forgotten.
