I was brought up in a household where religion was important. Both of my parents, Kenneth and Eunice Kurth, were active in whatever Episcopal Church we were attending at the time. My best childhood friend was Roman Catholic, and even at a young age, we had many discussions on the various aspects of faith and religion. Even today, over sixty-five years later, both of us are still strong believers in our own faiths. Off and on during my high school years, I visited a newly built Reformed Church in America church. The influence of their pastor and the teachings of that church changed my life forever and led me to attend the Reformed Church's Hope College in Holland, Michigan. While at Hope, I met my future husband, Kenneth Scudder, who was from the Catskill Mountain Area in New York State. We raised four children together. Our faith was important to both of us. I have endeavored to relate some simple prayers and my everyday faith beliefs without getting into a lot of theology. I hope you will find this book helpful.
