A'te is the Greek Goddess of Chaos and Delusion, and in this volume are Neifert's flirtations with her. From a Pseudo-Gospel following Jude Alpheus and his relationship with his older brother Jesus, to a long poem based on Augustine's City of God---where meditations on futures and heaven are mulled over in evocative verse---the range of material in this work spans the course of four years. Some of Neifert's most bizarre meditations are in this collection, and he hopes it is a well received abstract piece, showing the blurry line between religion and fantasy, which he walked. The works in this volume span some of Neifert's most difficult times, and are a cry for help against a publishing industry that has rejected him time and time again, causing him to push his writing to the edge of sanity and orthodoxy.
