I received an ARC of this book through Hidden Gems, and it is probably the best I have read. Jessie is a very different protagonist. She is driven, but through much of the book the source of her issues is unknown. The entire story moves through well-described and beautiful scenes as the various people who come into Jessie's life while she is running leave their mark on her. I give this book my highest recommendation.

Fast moving, imaginative, fun to read, thought provoking. One of those books you don't want to put down from the moment you pick it up. I doubt you've read anything quite like it.

Impossible to put down. Genuinely one of the best written books I've read in a long time. You are imagining the settings in your mind as you read. I opened it and read 28 pages just standing there and have found it impossible to put down. A rare book where you want to know what happens to the characters after you have finished it.

A most absorbing and excellent story, brilliant! This heroine is utterly believable and the storyline is breathtaking. One of the best books I have read for quite a while.

The well-developed character and tight, fast-paced plotting is a typical Lewando. Like with every Lewando mystery that I have ever had the pleasure to read, the ending to Jessie Running will blow you away.

A must-read book. Chris Lewando has a knack of telling a story you can really get into. The first book I read was Night Shadows, which was sci fi, and now she throws you a cliff hanging spine chilling mystery...WOW this is a must read.
