In August 2010, Kenyans voted in a new Constitution. This changed the entire governance structure in the country. It brought in Devolution. Kenya opted for a Decentralized form of Government. There were no legal instrument to implement this new phenomena. There is lack of proper understanding of Devolution as a concept. This book provides a brief account for the clamor for a decentralized system of Government in Kenya. It gives an actual understanding of devolution which may be beneficial to students of law, legal practitioners, and lay people.
