Vanish (1): Meet David, an average policeman, just trying to survive from day to day. He's seen some strange things in his life, but none so strange as Vance (who prefers to be called 'Vanish'), a hardened and suspicious street kid who claims to have witnessed a monster dragging the members of a drug syndicate into a black cloud and then disappearing. David then enlists his cynical partner, Carl, in an effort to solve this mystery. They are led to Mel, a magic practitioner, who announces he knows how to track and kill the mysterious creature. However, first of all, they have to uncover a specific jewel, lost for generations. They eventually do so, thanks mainly to the wily Vanish who has an incredible eye for detail. Following Mel's lead, they confront the magical creature and his makers. This results in a major battle, with the fate of the city depending on its outcome.

Simone & Harry (2): A policeman can stumble across all sorts of strange things in his job, and David is no exception. However, what confronts him now takes 'extraordinary' to a whole new level. First of all, his partner, Carl, a confirmed chauvinist, has fallen in love, and miraculously changed into a sensitive new age male. And then along comes Vanish, the feral street orphan, with his pet. And what an amazing and bizarre pet it turns out to be! If this wasn't enough, there's Simone, a small waif of the female persuasion, and a friend of Vanish. Now, Simone appears to be a little strange. Extremely strange, as it so happens. She possesses amazing abilities, one of which soon proves to be intimately invaluable to David. But all is not well. Apparently, the missing magic book has a new owner, and no one is quite sure what will happen. It's up to David, Carl, Vanish, Mel and Simone to track it down and prevent the owner from unleashing a new horror on the city.
