My primary motivation is to help the young generation to have reference documents to use as a maintenance handbook in the mining industry. With many years in the mining industry and a lot of knowledge gained through consultation and working as a maintenance manager, I feel like it is my responsibility to share this experience and help make life easy for startups. This book is written for a very diverse group of audience, from young professionals to experienced leaders, mining industry advocates, researchers, government entities to academic institutions, this book intends to give a clear understanding of maintenance practices in gold mine industries, help beginners and community surrounding mining industries understand the extend of work and the benefit of the maintenance department in the mining industry in general and in gold mine particularly. This book embraces topics around mining industry maintenance management and mining industry basic operation principles such as exploration techniques, extraction methods, processing procedures, environment, and social considerations in gold mines, the safety and security aspect are also covered. The book is intended to make a balance between technical details in gold mine maintenance practices and easy explanations of gold extraction, making it suitable for both industry insiders and general readers seeking an in-depth understanding. An example of crushing circuit maintenance will be developed in detail in this book.
