Though given mysteriously few details, Thom bumbles his way to Manhattan where, against all odds, fate leads him to Vick Sangha, the one person he hoped to find. The only problem: a category 5 hurricane has struck the island, leaving the two of them stuck in the city's dingiest bar for the entire length of the megastorm, where Thom quickly discovers exactly why Vick's parents tiptoed around describing him...a discovery that might prove just dumb enough to rewrite the rules of reality itself.

Locked in for one long night with the likes of vagrant comedians, ornery barkeeps, a slew of broke twenty-somethings and a pregnant mute, the young "island of misfit toys" taking refuge in the bar must stave off their collective existential crises to survive the biblical storm overhead...though if Thom is tracked down by those hunting him...the hurricane might be the easy part. A technicolor, claustrophobic, anxiety-drenched black comedy, NEW YORK DRUNK is an ode to the unique dread of stumbling into adulthood the moment American society finally eats itself (or perhaps the moment after).
