There is little help for marriages that experience problems because one or both partners are involved in the ministry. Many times, those who assist such persons are themselves dealing with hidden troubles and crises. Divorce is a painful, stressful process all on its own. When you're in the ministry, however, you can be made to feel like you've failed God and yourself. Those feelings aside, keeping a marriage intact for that reason alone can leave you feeling empty and hypocritical. You'll indeed be living a double life where you're not being truthful to God, to the people around you, to those in your ministry, and yourself.
