Think of children as precious flowers that beautify and perfume our environment with their presence. Like the flowers, they are soft, tender, and prone to destruction if uncared for. Children, for those, who care to have them, are of inestimable value. Like the juniper, they come with different qualities and appearances, with each one of them operating to add meaning to our lives. They touch our ambience with love and make our lives worth living. Each child comes with a distinctiveness that is measureless in comparison to the other. Knowing this helps us, as parents, to navigate the best way possible to lead them in life. Environmental and societal influences play in to make or mar them in any way that may be interpreted. They literally need some pruning every now and then, to cut off their excesses in order to retain the majestic beauty and sweetness that they add to our world. This, we cannot ignore. We all have a part to play in the upbringing of our children. They need to be nurtured with love, care, and all necessities within our reach, to bring out the best in them. That diligently undertaken, they stand to weather the storm of life in whatever dimension it comes. Hopefully, as our feeble days set in and life seems to fade away, they will rejuvenate us from what we have been able to offer them over the years.
