The year is 2074. The extraction of resources from within the Moon has become extremely profitable. A lot of money can be made working off-world, making it a desirable option for many people.

Will is one of those people. Only twelve months in space, and his extra wage would push his and his wife's combined earnings over the two children threshold. A position has recently become available on Obadiah Space Habitat, an abandoned space station near the Moon.

Jonny is going into space involuntarily, sentenced to the Hole for first-degree murder. The Hole is a mysterious anomaly, discovered on the Moon in 2030. For the past nine years, the US judicial system has been using it to dispose of their most undesirable criminals.

Things have been happening on the Moon, almost imperceptible changes that nobody has noticed.
