After a healing ceremony with a wise Native American woman lifts a heavy burden from her heart, Caitlin is free to live the life she had always imagined was possible. She leaves New Mexico for LA, but events will soon conspire to draw her back to Washington, DC to testify at a congressional hearing about the use of mercury in vaccines - something Caitlin had researched several years earlier when she was working as an attorney for the US Department of Justice.
