The only thing he leaves his son is the ancient family home on the west coast of Scotland that Callum last saw when he was three years old. The last time in fact that he was in the old country, twenty years ago. With his last few dollars in his pocket Callum travels halfway across the world to Argyll, the Highlands, with the intent to sell the house, be done with the past, and continue his beachcombing ways. But when he meets a beautiful young Scottish woman on the streets of Oban, his life is turned upside down. Vowing to marry her, the only thing standing in their way is her father, an imposing figure who will only grant his approval if Callum wins the most prestigious golf tournament in the world, The Open at Royal Troon that summer.
