Or was it simply a means for economic gain that incidentally resulted in the desecration of a culture due to greed manifested among slave traders and profiteers? There is no doubt that it is important to understand the impact that slavery had on the mental health of those who were affected by this institution. Join me as we explore how slavery created the most hideous mental health problems that African-Americans have experienced and continue to experience in American society today.
