There's bad cops and good girls and there's good cops and bad girls. Which one is Cookie O'Shaughnessy? She's attractive, intelligent, personable and very appealing... if you don't know she's an impetuous undercover cop armed with a quick temper and a gun. When Cookie's impetuous behavior gets her dismissed from the police force, she turns private eye and suddenly finds herself being used to track down a Russian money-laundering gang; the same gang responsible for her dismissal from the police department. But is O'Shaughnessy's goal personal revenge, or crime busting? Cookie herself isn't sure, especially when she realizes she's being manipulated by a third party; or maybe even a third and a fourth party, but to what end she can only guess. Complicating matters even further, Cookie finds herself falling for a handsome young lawyer who just happens to be a prime suspect. That conundrum leaves Cookie with some hard questions about herself as she walks a fine line between good and evil. Is she capable of murder? And if she can kill in cold blood, what does that say about her chances of falling for the right guy? Even if he is a suspect...
