Review 5.0 out of 5 stars A real talent Don't think just because this is about a minister that it is not hard-hitting, touching and mind-expanding. Dive in. You won't be sorry. Product Description Snowtime, set in the rolling hills of southern Ohio, follows a young minister Keith Newman and his beautiful but bitter wife Ada as they navigate the pleasures and pitfalls of a rural ministry in the 1960's. The novel is alive with the folksy humor and cunning of the people in the small, past-its-prime town of Haran. The old people in the old house on the old road leading out of town insinuate themselves into the young cleric's life as does a young gypsy girl. The novel is shocking, funny, poignant and, yes, redemptive. About the Author Sandra Sweeny Silver is a prolific researcher, writer of fiction and non-fiction and lecturer on a variety of topics from ancient history and religion to gardening, cooking and beekeeping.
