This book is about speaking blessings over your family. I was inspired to write this simple, yet powerful, book after watching several friends become new parents. One in particular, recorded a video speaking positive affirmations over her newborn. This short clip got me thinking: How many parents out there are actually doing this, and what kind of impact could we be making if more were? As a mother of three, I can testify that parenting is not easy. We all want our children to be happy, healthy and blessed, but parenting doesn't come with instructions. Most of us make mistakes and learn as we go. One thing I know for certain is this: Speaking negative words can curse, while speaking positive words can bless. There is a special blessing, only you can give, as a parent, and it is up to us to set the course over those whom God has given us authority over. The next time you are overcome with frustration, remind yourself of the powerful influence you have over your child's development and future. Hurtful words can create a negative self image and allow room for insecurity to move into your child's life. This is your opportunity to speak BLESSINGS over your growing child's future. Speak the promises of God (out loud and in faith) so they will take root in your child's mind as you remind them, each day, who and whose they are. These affirmations and prayers might not all be true right now, but you have the power and the authority to call things that are not as though they already are! This is a simple book, but with consistency, the contents within will help them develop positive foundations on which to grow.
