Rock star Matt Zeller, the focus of constant media attention surrounding a murder, has an additional headache of being chased by a conniving centerfold model. Tired of hiding in his apartment, Matt assumes a new identity and disappears from New York to wander aimlessly across America, but fate leads him to Summer Taylor's door in the remote town of Haversfield, Missouri. Matt, having been raised in foster homes, is more afraid of love than a bad review in Rolling Stone Magazine but he can't ignore the powerful attraction he feels for Summer.
