Mrs. Blake worked non-stop for nearly sixty years, and sat for more than 200,000 people in that time. With the exception of her night circles which she held usually when requested, she sat in broad daylight, along with one of the most unique characteristics of her séances, using a double-sided, lightweight metal tube or "trumpet." Through painstaking research, the noted spiritualist historian N. Riley Heagerty has pieced back together much of the mysterious puzzle of Mrs. Blake, practically lost in time. This plain, assuming woman talked with those on the "Other Side", freely giving of her time to help the grief-stricken reconnect and converse with loved ones, long thought lost forever.
