There isn't as much talent, the runners aren't as tough as they used to be, and the legendary coach is at the end of his career. After a brutal defeat in the spring championships, the team makes a vow to retake their county title in the fall, and regain their reputation. Little do the boys know that they are about to face the toughest season of their lives. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Lee Krinsky ran track and cross country for W.C. Mepham High School under legendary coach Paul Limmer. The novel was inspired by real events that occurred during his junior and senior years. Lee runs a tutoring business, and writes fiction and poetry. He currently lives on Long Island and completed the Long Island Marathon.
