During the first weekend of the new year, Ronnie's family took a trip that they would never return from due to a severe accident that ended their lives, leaving Ronnie an orphan few months short of her 18th birthday. Shattered by this tragedy, she knows that life as she knew it will never be the same and succumbs to being taken in by Alison, the best friend of her mother, who happens to have five kids, all sons. Jaiden, haunted and hurt by memories of the past of which he chooses to take out on the hurting high school senior, who was once his best friend, refuses to let her back into his life.
