INTRODUCTION Practically everyone has heard of or read the poem Footprints written by an unknown poet It is about someone who dreams that he is walking along the beach with the Lord when across the sky flashes scenes from his life In each scene he sees two sets of footprints in the sand One set is his the other the Lord s After the last scene has passed he looks back and sees that at times there was only one set of footprints He also noticed that this happened during the lowest and saddest times of his life This bothered him and he said Lord you said that once I decided to follow you you would walk with me all the way but I noticed that during the most troubled times of my life there was only one set of footprints Why did you leave me when I needed you most The Lord replied My child I love you and I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering When you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you The Lord has also helped me throughout my life This book is my autobiography and also my testimony about the many challenges I have faced and how God helped me to overcome them I want everyone who reads this book to know that no matter how dark and bleak life may seem at times that God is able to bring you through I also want everyone to realize that no matter how many sins we have committed if we earnestly repent God is willing to forgive us With God all things are possible He is our loving Father and truly cares for each of us Have faith in Him look up and think positively As David said in Psalms 30 5 Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning
