When Leito meets his beautiful new neighbor, Miriam, he is determined to make her his. During a random vehicle stop, Jean-Baptiste, a young cop and Leito¿s best friend, makes an important arrest, which not only grants him a likely promotion in the Haitian Police Department, but places him at the top of a gang¿s most-wanted list. In the overcrowded city of Port-au-Prince, the threat is very real, especially since corrupt cops have ties with gang members. Leito finds himself caught up in this escalating situation, though meanwhile, his courtship of Miriam weighs increasingly on his mind.
