Do you remember when you used to play looking at the clouds and imagining all kinds of stuff, like rabbits, dragons, trees, fairies, etc.? We made this book for children. To let them set free their imagination. There they can draw what they see on their colorful abstract design's pages. This book is the same for everyone at starting, but the final result it's going to be different for each one of them. That will let them celebrate their creativity, explore their minds and hearts to create, and to have a space to express themselves. There is no wrong or right answer. All there is are shapes and colors. Everyone will see what their imagination determines. That's why this book is called "What do you see?". It doesn't matter the result as much as the process. This book is an invitation to allow our children to express themselves and to validate their opinions about what they see and how they feel about it. You can use this book to get to know your children better, their interests, and their inner world through art. It's okay if your children want to use more colors and art supplies. The main idea of this book is to validate through playing the individual perception of each child. So it isn't useful as an entertaining book only. It also can be used as an opportunity to value different points of view. When we play with "What do you see?" all of us can show to the world physically what we have inside our minds through drawings. If you want to use this book for educational purposes, it would be good if each child had their book. So they can see the differences between their drawings and what the other ones are seeing on the same pages. Even though it is a children's book, the invitation is open to anyone who wants to express themselves and to play with their imagination.
